Grace Marie DeWitt is a Maryland-based interdisciplinary artist. After studying traditional painting techniques for the first decade of her artistic practice, DeWitt now works within an integration of installation, video, printmaking, photography, and writing. She received a B.A. in Studio Art and a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2018, where she also participated in the UMCP Departmental Honors Program: an intensive year of studio practice, curation, and exhibition. DeWitt's work was selected for the Director's Choice awards from Viridian Artists (NYC) and the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts in 2019. DeWitt was a finalist for the CyberWire Women in Cybersecurity 2018 Reception Design, and was awarded the Colonel Wharton Award for First Place from UMCP in 2018 and the Jules Maidoff Award for Artistic Excellency from the Studio Arts College International in Florence, Italy in 2016. Her work has been featured in multiple private collections, and publicly exhibited throughout all regions of the US.

DeWitt has co-curated exhibitions, and installed her solo curatorial debut in July of 2018. She has served on the acquisition committee for the University of Maryland's permanent contemporary art collection, spent two years managing the University's Stamp Gallery and worked to develop the space's social media strategy, and has worked with the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts and Maryland Art Place. Outside of her practice, DeWitt is the Communications + Gallery Associate at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center (Hyattsville, MD), and Fellow for the public programs department at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, D.C.).
